All Pomeranian Puppies go through what is called the "Monkeys" or the puppy uglies stage, this stage of life is unavoidable. This starts around 4 to 6 months old. During this time your puppy will start to lose its Thick puppy coat, and will bald out on his/her fore head, face, body and may only have a bit of baby fluff left on his/her ear or chest he or she may look scraggly or funky. This does not mean your puppy will turn out ugly , it is completely normal. Rest assure your Baby will fill out and his coat will come back in around 9 months to a year of age. This is NORMAL.

During this stage your puppy will appear to have a longer muzzle and longer legs. As your puppy matures into an adult and out of this Funky "teenager" stage he will blossom into a Beautiful pomeranian. Muzzle will shorten and widen, hair will fill back in, and once your poms leg and head coat is in your pomeranian will look like a pomeranian again.

We can not guarantee Size, coat quality, leg length or Muzzle length as an adult. With patience and time your pomeranian will come out of his or her Uglies. Propper grooming will also help the coat come in. Daily brushing and bathing once every 2 to 3 weeks.

Diet plays a very important role in hair and coat growth. Make sure you are not feeding low end Wal Mart brand. Feed only High quality foods, such as Fromm, Blue Buffalo or Nutro Natural choice are great options!
